上海德英乐学院学生摘得多枚英国物理挑战赛金银铜牌

含金量高，全球认可

该竞赛由英国物理奥赛组委会举办，该组委会主要由牛津大学、英国物理**和 Odgen 基金会组成，办公室设在牛津大学物理系。在中国赛区的优秀获奖者将有机会获邀参加选拔英国物理竞赛国家队的英国物理奥赛集训营(中国赛区)。届时将有机会获得来自牛津剑桥的教授亲临面授指导，学生可以就自己感兴趣的领域与教授探讨，对学生的物理以及科学领域的探索收益匪浅。该比赛的获奖结果全球认可。

The BPhO is hosted by University of Oxford, the Institute of Physics (IOP), and the Odgen Trust with offices located in the physics department of the University of Oxford. The excellent winner of Chinese division will have the chance to be invited to participant in the competition of. Awarded students will have the chance to participate in the British Physics Olympiad Camp (China). And will have the opportunity to communicate with experienced physics professors from top universities such as the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford, as well as head teachers from top high schools and discuss the fields they are interested in. The camp will help improve their key skills in learning physics, such as observation and logical thinking skills, and we believe this will become one of the most unique physics learning experiences for students. The award results of BPhO are globally recognized.

助力学生升学

学生在申请大学时可在自己的个人陈述信以及申请系统中填写该奖项以及获奖结果，可以向大学招生官充分展示自己对物理以及科学领域的探索与追求，为自己阶段性的物理学习树立一个标志。

Students could state the award of this competition in their personal statement and application system, show your interests for exploring physics further and set up a goal for the periodic physical learning.

此外英国大学物理系在面试时的一些更深层专业问题，也可以通过本次比赛提前获得锻炼。Besides, students could experience and practice some professional question, which could be appear in the interview of the physics department of some British universities through this competition.

竞赛青睐什么样的学生

本比赛的难度高于IG 物理，但是小于A-level 物理。所以学校鼓励平时学有余力以及对物理感兴趣，并且愿意利用课余时间探索物理问题的IG段学生参加。本次参加物理竞赛的学生的物理IG成绩大都在B以上。

The difficult degree of this competition is higher than IGCSE physics, but lower than A-level physics. Thus, school encourage IGCSE students who has the ability to learn more and are willing to spend their spare time to explore physics to participate in this competition. Overall, most of the students have IG physics scores above B.

因每年的比赛时间都在全球CAIE统考之前，所以既不会耽误学生们复习IG课程，也可以提前利用本次比赛检验自己IG物理知识点的掌握。

Because this competition holds before CAIE worldwide examination, students could review IGCSE normally and use this competition to test their knowledge of IGCSE physics.

老师的辅导很重要

学校在每年九月开学初就已经开始对本次比赛进行初步的宣传， 12月份完成学生报名申请。学校将安排课后辅导课程， 并且持之以恒的鼓励学生，并陪伴在学生身边，做他们身边最坚实的支持者，鼓励者，指导者。

Schools begin to promote this competition at the beginning of school year in September, and complete the application of student registration in December. We will arrange after-school class, and we’ll always stand by and encourage students to be their strongest supporters and directors.

给同学们的建议

因学生们参加比赛以及课后辅导课需要占用一些课余时间，有些同学对自己要求很高，如不能获奖就放弃参加比赛。我对学生们的建议是：“竞赛是很好的学科知识拓展工具，在准备竞赛的过程中，你会逐渐培养对复杂问题的解决能力，而且这个过程并不是一蹴而就的。参加竞赛是以得奖为目的，得奖只是你拓展能力之后的附加值。并且你在准备竞赛时练习的题目已经大大提高了自己的思维能力，这些能力你们在学习A-level物理时就会体会到益处。”

Because taking this competition and after-school class would take part of their spare time, some students who have really high self-requirements would give up this competition unless they could be awards. I suggest students that competition is an effective tool for subject exploration. During the process of preparing competition, your ability of solving problem could be developed, and this process cannot be achieved overnight. The aim of participating competition is not win awards, and awards are only the additional value of your self development. Moreover, when you preparing competition, your ability of thinking would be developed through doing exercises. You’ll recognize the benefits of these abilities when you study A-level physics.
