专业概况

This degree is taught in collaboration with our colleagues at Dundee's Al-Maktoum College. We have a strong history and expertise of teaching traditional finance and economics and we draw upon the expertise in Islamic finance and wider Islamic studies on offer at Al-Maktoum. Few degrees of this kind exist in the UK. You will develop your understanding of the application of Islamic commercial law in relation to Islamic financial institutions and financial products, as well as the emergence and working mechanisms of Islamic capital markets.

Topics you'll cover include the operations of Islamic banks and Islamic financial markets, alongside the nature of risk and its management in Islamic financial institutions. You will explore contemporary issues and debates in Islamic finance and gain an understanding of the internationalisation strategies and strategic decisions in business. You will also have the chance to choose optional modules which are more specifically linked to the banking sector.

Careers:

This course will give you the skills and understanding to work in a variety of conventional and Islamic businesses, such as banks, insurance companies, financial service companies, and trading brokers. You may also want to apply for roles in the finance arms of industries and commercial firms outside of the finance sector. Islamic finance and banking is a growing area of business across the globe, and not solely linked to Muslim countries. Many Western banks and financial services are offering Islamic banking and finance products to customers.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students with a Bachelor degree with an overall average grade of 75% or above from a recognised university will be considered and borderline cases if the student has a relevant degree and good grades in relevant subjects and/or relevant work experience of at least 5 years will also be considered. IELTS score of 6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in writing and 6.0/5.5 in the other three components.
