With our specialised three-year course, you’ll build practical skills and real-world understanding, ready to become a professional software developer.Accredited by the British Computer Society, our industry-designed course is delivered by experts. Through our industrial liaison committee, which has included Web Applications UK, Autotrader, DAI and FastWebMedia, we’ve designed a range of career relevant modules that build desirable skills. The course blends the core competences you need to thrive in an evolving environment, with awareness of risk and a flair in software specification, design and implementation. You’ll build programming skills and explore design patterns. You’ll develop awareness of data structures, algorithms and artificial intelligence. You'll address professionalism, ethics and quality management.On the professional experience pathway, you'll spend a year in industry between your second and third year. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your CV, apply your academic knowledge, build workplace skills in a real-world environment, and to reflect on your own personal development and career choices. On successful completion of an industrial placement year, which you'll arrange with our support, you will add 'with Professional Experience' to your degree title.With our envious campus location, minutes from central Manchester, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get involved in the region's thriving tech community. There will also be opportunities to enjoy extra-curricular activities through our computing society, or take part in HackManchester. 为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants with a graduation certificate from a specialised college or school (zhongzhuan) with a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for the International Foundation Year. Applicants who have completed the huikao (senior secondary school) with a final grade of 60% or above will also be considered. Applicants who have completed three full years of high school and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate with an overall minimum grade of 60% will be considered for undergraduate study. Applicants who hold a dazhaun qualification with a score of 60% or above will be considered for advanced entry on relevant undergraduate programmes if appropriate modules have been studied. Applicants who have achieved ACC/BCC/BC in graded units on their SQA-HND programme will be considered for final year entry on selected undergraduate business programmes. We require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
