专业概况

在这里学什么？ Crime is one of the major problems facing society today. To understand the complex issues surrounding it, we have brought together two areas of study that have a natural affinity, giving you a degree that will help you make a real difference.Psychology is about people and focuses on the study of the human mind and behaviour. Criminology involves analysing crime and deviance, exploring a wide range of issues from the nature of criminal justice systems to the role of the media in representing and influencing crime. Together these two areas will provide you with the skills and knowledge to succeed in a number of careers.The Psychology and Criminology course will equip you with a theoretical understanding of human behaviour and you will apply the skills you learn to a varied range of innovative assessments. The course has been designed with a clear emphasis on employability and incorporates valuable practical activities (e.g. courtroom observation, museum visit).

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants with a graduation certificate from a specialised college or school (zhongzhuan) with a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for the International Foundation Year. Applicants who have completed the huikao (senior secondary school) with a final grade of 60% or above will also be considered. Applicants who have completed three full years of high school and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate with an overall minimum grade of 60% will be considered for undergraduate study. Applicants who hold a dazhaun qualification with a score of 60% or above will be considered for advanced entry on relevant undergraduate programmes if appropriate modules have been studied. Applicants who have achieved ACC/BCC/BC in graded units on their SQA-HND programme will be considered for final year entry on selected undergraduate business programmes. We require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
