专业概况

在这里学什么？ Do you find yourself questioning and challenging conventional assumptions about the world we live in? Sociology is concerned with understanding social life and our place within it. It helps us understand and tackle difficult questions, such as issues of poverty, immigration, privacy and social unrest, as well as providing insights into our cultural and everyday lives. Sociologists have for decades been providing answers to difficult government and policy questions, informing industry and challenging inequalities.The social sciences have a long and well established history at the University of Salford, having been taught here since 1954, and today, the sociology subject group continues to be extremely strong both in terms of its teaching quality and research excellence.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants with a graduation certificate from a specialised college or school (zhongzhuan) with a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for the International Foundation Year. Applicants who have completed the huikao (senior secondary school) with a final grade of 60% or above will also be considered. Applicants who have completed three full years of high school and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate with an overall minimum grade of 60% will be considered for undergraduate study. Applicants who hold a dazhaun qualification with a score of 60% or above will be considered for advanced entry on relevant undergraduate programmes if appropriate modules have been studied. Applicants who have achieved ACC/BCC/BC in graded units on their SQA-HND programme will be considered for final year entry on selected undergraduate business programmes. We require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
