上海德英乐学院科创社:为什么浴球丢入水中会起泡泡?

在上海德英乐学院科创社本学期**个活动中,我们制作了浴球。浴球会使得我们的沐浴时光非常有趣快乐!有很多配方可以成功制作浴球,它们的共同点是有以下两种化学物质:碳酸氢钠和柠檬酸。

那么科学的解释是什么呢?在浴球溶于水起泡泡的过程中有一系列的化学反应。浴球一旦投入至水中,碳酸氢钠和柠檬酸都溶解释放离子,碳酸氢钠中释放钠离子,与带负电荷的碳酸氢根离子分开,钠离子与氢离子产生化学反应释放二氧化碳,形成气泡。

加入颜料,浴球将色彩缤纷;美妙的气味来源于精油;我们可以使用干花来装扮浴球,加入盐有助于在漫长的一天后放松肌肉。

In our first club session we made bath bombs. These are used to make your bath time more enjoyable and fun. There are many recipes to make your own bath bombs online. What they all have in common are two ingredients: sodium bicarbonate and citric acid.

So, where is science in all that? There is a series of reactions to make the bath bombs fizz. Once it goes into water, sodium bicarbonate and citric acid both dissolve releasing ions. From sodium bicarbonate we get positively charged sodium ion which breaks away from the negatively charged bicarbonate ion. Citric acid contributes positively charged hydrogen ion. Then, sodium and hydrogen ions undergo a number of reactions where one of the products is carbon dioxide that gives us the fizz.

Bath bombs can be colourful if you add dyes. Their wonderful smells come from essential oils. You can also decorate them with dried flowers and also add relaxing salts, like Epsom salts, to help relax the muscles after a long day.
