This programme is awarded by University of London, UK and developed by the member institution, Goldsmiths, UK.

Founded in 1891, Goldsmiths is renowned for teaching and research in creative, cultural and cognitive disciplines. The Department of Computing applies computer science to the arts, media, music, design, games and business.

In line with global rapid digitalization of businesses, the new BSc Computer Science degree is minted with the aim to prepare students to meet such challenging transformations.

The suite of new BSc Computer Science degree programmes prepares you for technology jobs of the future, providing immersive learning experiences that will help you build the technical and transferable skills you need for a fulfilling career.

The programmes use creative interactive approaches delivered through Coursera, the world’s largest online learning platform, to provide immersive learning experiences. Students are encouraged to explore ideas, challenge boundaries, investigate fresh ways of thinking, and stretch their minds.

SIM and the Goldsmiths Department of Computing have collaborated to offer computing programmes locally since 1993. The new programmes, which focus on AI, Web Services and other rapidly rising technologies, will propel Singapore to achieve its dreams of becoming a smart nation and intelligent island.

SIM is proud to offer two more programmes:

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science (Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence), Full-time

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science (Web and Mobile Development), Full-time

This programme equips you with an in-depth understanding of the key conceptual and technological issues involved in building software systems.

We want you to learn by doing – we’ve got a strong focus on the practical rather than the theoretical. The program is highly hands-on; you will be designing, developing and implementing software solutions since Day 1.

By studying this programme you will:

Develop a wide and practical skills in computing with strong programming and mathematics skills.

Learn skills in project management, presentation skills and teamwork which employers value.

Create a portfolio of work that you can present to potential employers.

As the economy digitises, technologists are being integrated into the fabric of business. These days attending meetings, presenting at conferences, and sharing ideas with colleagues are as crucial a part of a developer’s work as writing code. 为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have three GCE 'A' Level passes or minimum of 3 H2 level subjects with a pass or above. Advanced 1 – 16 Modules: An RMIT approved non-business diploma from any of the local polytechnics. Advanced 2 – 12 Modules: An RMIT approved relevant business diploma from SIM or any of the local polytechnics. Other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the university. English Language Requirements: Applicants who have not achieved a minimum of C or better in General Paper at AS/H1 Level or Knowledge and Inquiry at H2 must provide evidence of at least ONE of the following: IELTS (Academic) - 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL - Paper-Based = 580 (TWE 4.5); TOEFL - internet-Based Test (iBT) = 92, with minimum of 20 in all sections; Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE(A) = 58 (no communication band less than 50); Cambridge English: (Advanced CAE) (up to 2014) = 58 with no less than 'borderline' in each skill; Cambridge English: (Advanced CAE) 2015 onwards: 176 with no less than 169 in any component; RMIT English Worldwide (REW) Advanced Plus or equivalent; Successful completion of a recognized approved Diploma qualification or higher, where the language of instruction was English. Have successfully studied Singapore Cambridge 'A' levels at a Singaporean high school for at least 2 years and met the academic entry criteria of 3 A/H2 level passes. Other equivalent qualifications approved by RMIT will be considered.
