专业概况

在这里学什么？ Our Product Design and Technology degree will equip you with the skills and knowledge of usability, electronics, mechanics and interaction to develop and communicate design ideas; product styling, 3D design and the production and use of prototypes as a key part of design practice.Taught in our state-of-the-art, purpose-built £21 million Design School building, you’ll be able to access excellent facilities while building your knowledge and skill set of product design and technology. The main aim of our BSc Product Design and Technology degree is to broaden your theoretical and working knowledge of the entire design process, from conception through to manufacture. This includes developing core skills and knowledge of product development, communication, product styling, three-dimensional design, materials, ergonomics, the techniques of planning and costing, manufacturing processes and the production of prototypes and finished artefacts.Our Product Design and Technology BSc (Hons) course takes a technologically innovative approach to the design and creation of beautiful, ingenious, functional and viable products.

为来自中国的学生设计 AAB (excluding General Studies, Critical Thinking, Communication and Culture and Citizenship Studies). In some circumstances we may ask applicants to achieve specific grades in certain subjects. While no specific A Level (or equivalent) subjects are required, we strongly prefer combinations drawn from traditional (academic) subjects to demonstrate a range of numerical, analytical and discursive abilities. These A Levels include: Ancient History, Biology, Classical Civilisation, Chemistry, Economics, English Language/Literature, Geography, Government and Politics, History, Languages (non-native), Law, Maths/Further Maths, Philosophy, Physics, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology and Statistics.
