在这里学什么？ **Course overview**- Seeking a rewarding career as a key member of a surgical team in the operating department? This BSc Operating Department Practice degree is for you.- Operating Department Practitioners help respond to the physical and psychological needs of patients in surgery.- The course places great emphasis on practical learning so you’ll get to experience live clinical environments.- Working under supervision, you will help with daily duties, learning by observing, shadowing and practising.- You’ll have access to our state-of-the-art clinical skills and anatomy laboratories.**Why study with us**- You’ll have access to our state-of-the-art clinical skills and anatomy laboratories.- Topics you’ll study include the anaesthetic, surgical and recovery phases of Operating Department Practice, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, embedding change and leadership and management in the perioperative environment.- Once you graduate, you’ll be able to work in operating departments and be eligible to apply for statutory registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).**Further information**- This course will be of interest to health and social care practitioners who are already qualified in their field but want to develop their career within practice - enhancing their knowledge and skills whilst working towards an academic qualification.- This degree offers you a wide range of choices, encouraging you to select and plan the route that meets your individual needs. - You’ll enhance your knowledge of your role or speciality and clinical competence and expand your clinical capability within a multidisciplinary team. You’ll also get involved in developing and promoting appropriate practice development to facilitate the delivery of quality health and social care.- As part of the course you will have the opportunity to hear about the experiences of service users, carers, patients and public members via our community engagement and service user support groups (Comensus).
