在这里学什么？ **Course overview**- Make us your first choice if you are determined to have the best possible start in an exciting career in journalism. From the first day of the course, you will be encouraged to think like a journalist - to be inquisitive, resourceful, sceptical and persistent in your quest. While developing these essential skills, you will study the history of journalism, its role in society and the legal and ethical framework within which journalists work. This course works to real deadlines, so TV and radio work is assessed live, publications are put together to print deadlines and professional meetings take place as they would in industry. Due to the fact this is such a well-established course, there is a wealth of experience and knowledge available - UCLan is very well respected for its journalism course and many graduates get jobs in the careers they want.- Graduates work for BBC Radio, Television and Interactive, Sky TV, independent radio and television, national and regional newspapers, magazines and in the newly-emerging creative digital media industries. - Successful alumni are invited back in to talk to students to share their experiences, and guest speakers deliver presentations talking about pertinent issues such as the future of print journalism, and social media and journalism.**Why study with us**- We’re the only North West university undergraduate journalism course to be accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) and have double industry accreditation - NCTJ and the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC).- We’re number one in the UK for assessment and feedback. We are also 1st in the North West and in the UK top 5 for academic support, as well as 1st in the North West and in the UK top 20 for teaching quality - National Student Survey (NSS) 2019.- Our Journalism degree is one of the UK’s longest-established (nearly 60 years) and most prestigious undergraduate journalism courses with an impressive worldwide graduate network.**What you will do** - Across all three years, you’ll work individually and as part of a team, participating in radio, TV and digital news days.- You’ll have the opportunity to achieve three awards in one: a BA Hons degree, NCTJ Diploma and a BJTC Skills Certificate.- Facilities include six fully-equipped newsrooms, three radio studios, TV studio and gallery, video editing suites, industry-standard TV cameras and radio/audio recorders, digital/mobile journalism reporting kits, and live news feeds from the Press Association.
