专业概况

在这里学什么？ The Foundation Year of the four-year programme aims to provide understanding of the key subjects in business to meet the prerequisites for study on the associated degree programme. The key areas of study will be effective communication and study skills combined with key subjects in business. You will be introduced to basic theories and concepts within the disciplines to provide a basic knowledge in all related subject areas. The programme will introduce you to essential areas of business necessary for progression onto business, accounting or law degrees. You will learn how to apply business concepts to real life organisations and develop communication, IT and study skills. Following completion of the Foundation Year, you will progress on to year one of your selected degree for the remainder three years of your course (four years if you are choosing to do the professional placement year).Combining an intellectually challenging curriculum with an industry focus, the LLB Law course at Salford Business School gives you a grounding in the key concepts of any qualifying law degree and prepares you to embark on a high level legal career. Preparing students for career success is a priority on this Law degree. Modules are designed around the current and future needs of employers and the legal profession; in particular, we have built into your learning an understanding of how changing technology and artificial intelligence is influencing the law. We also place great emphasis on the development of your professional skills; you will have the opportunity to shadow working lawyers and judges, practise your learning during a year’s work placement and develop your client care skills by helping people looking for support from our legal advice schemes. In this way, you learn to put your academic knowledge into practice.Extra-curricular activities, like mooting and trips, are organised by our student-led Law Society, complementing your studies and enhancing your experience throughout. Through initiatives like the CLOCK scheme (in partnership with Salford Citizens Advice), you’ll have the chance to offer support to people with welfare benefits appeals in the region, allowing you to not only practise what you’ve learned, but provide help for vulnerable people in the community.“The pro bono and extracurricular activities have been second to none as the University has developed training programs and schemes designed to test students in a real world setting while simultaneously providing legal support to those who need it in our society.” Shaun Cooper, Law studentOur academic and professional services teams are here to support you throughout your degree and prepare you for your future career. 为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants with a graduation certificate from a specialised college or school (zhongzhuan) with a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for the International Foundation Year. Applicants who have completed the huikao (senior secondary school) with a final grade of 60% or above will also be considered. Applicants who have completed three full years of high school and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate with an overall minimum grade of 60% will be considered for undergraduate study. Applicants who hold a dazhaun qualification with a score of 60% or above will be considered for advanced entry on relevant undergraduate programmes if appropriate modules have been studied. Applicants who have achieved ACC/BCC/BC in graded units on their SQA-HND programme will be considered for final year entry on selected undergraduate business programmes. We require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
