Whether you’re a self-proclaimed bookworm, practising poet or budding academic, this English literature degree provides the tools you need to take the first step in your literary career.Over the course of three years, you’ll delve into the world of words, studying literature through the lens of diverse theoretical perspectives, including Marxism, feminism and structuralism. You’ll critically analyse literature from a wide range of genres – from Elizabethan and Jacobean drama, to Irish literature and contemporary poetry.Looking for a course with an interdisciplinary focus? 为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants with a graduation certificate from a specialised college or school (zhongzhuan) with a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for the International Foundation Year. Applicants who have completed the huikao (senior secondary school) with a final grade of 60% or above will also be considered. Applicants who have completed three full years of high school and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate with an overall minimum grade of 60% will be considered for undergraduate study. Applicants who hold a dazhaun qualification with a score of 60% or above will be considered for advanced entry on relevant undergraduate programmes if appropriate modules have been studied. Applicants who have achieved ACC/BCC/BC in graded units on their SQA-HND programme will be considered for final year entry on selected undergraduate business programmes. We require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
