在这里学什么？ **Our unique MEng (Hons) Aircraft Engineering with Pilot Studies degree combines the practical and theoretical aspects of flying with the underlying principles of aircraft engineering.** Flying is an increasingly popular mode of travel and is predicted to grow even further. Gain the skills to design, manage and fly the next generation of aircrafts with our Aircraft Engineering with Pilot Studies degree at Salford. You’ll follow a four-year programme – or five with an industry placement year – which combines mathematics, science, computer-based methods, and design and engineering to solve complex aircraft engineering problems. Gain hands-on experience in our established aeronautical and mechanical facility, featuring a Merlin MP520-T flight simulator and an Elite Flight Training System. Prior to your final year, you will complete a flight test course using the Cranfield National Flying Laboratory. You will also have the option to follow a structured pilot training programme to gain a Private Pilot Licence.Features • Take a placement year to develop essential skills further, adding ‘with Professional experience’ to your final degree award• Gain proficiency and knowledge in the planning of multiple leg flight plans and build awareness and experience of aviation meteorology• Learn the engineering principles that underpin the design of propulsion systems for the aerospace industry and have an introduction to the principles of gas turbine theory and jet engines• Explore the theory of business economics in route planning, learning the techniques and methodologies used for navigating an aircraft using modern navigation aids• Build in-depth knowledge of avionic systems used in modern aircraft, including communication, flight instruments, flight management, automatic flight, warning and recording and passenger systems• Understand the properties and applications of materials and of the principles of electronic and electrical engineering• In your final year, you’ll take your studies to postgraduate level, completing modules in engineering computation, aerospace system design and aerodynamics

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants with a graduation certificate from a specialised college or school (zhongzhuan) with a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for the International Foundation Year. Applicants who have completed the huikao (senior secondary school) with a final grade of 60% or above will also be considered. Applicants who have completed three full years of high school and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate with an overall minimum grade of 60% will be considered for undergraduate study. Applicants who hold a dazhaun qualification with a score of 60% or above will be considered for advanced entry on relevant undergraduate programmes if appropriate modules have been studied. Applicants who have achieved ACC/BCC/BC in graded units on their SQA-HND programme will be considered for final year entry on selected undergraduate business programmes. We require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
