专业概况

The MA in Applied Economics is a STEM program designed for students who seek careers in business, finance, or government as economists, forecasters, policy analysts, economic researchers, or managers with strong quantitative skills. Our graduates have been hired by employers in a wide variety of organizations such as research institutes, medical centers, financial institutions, and federal and state governments. Because our MA in Applied Economics program gives its graduates a unique combination of theory, policy analysis, and data analytic skills, our graduates are well positioned for promotions after their initial placements.

The Bryan School’s MA in Applied Economics program provides you with a unique combination of economic theory, policy analysis, and data analysis skills that give you the ability to identify, understand, and solve real-world problems. In your first semester, you will develop foundational mathematical, economic theory, and econometric skills. You’ll also begin learning the same analytical software most frequently used by Fortune 500 companies and financial institutions. In your second semester, you will deepen your general economic theory and econometric skills and develop an understanding of the fundamentals of policy analysis.

为来自中国的学生设计 All applicants must have obtained the following: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or appropriately-evaluated credentials for non-U.S. schools; satisfactory academic standing as an undergraduate or in a post-baccalaureate program. Non-native speakers of English must validate proficiency in the English language by one of three means: TOEFL: 79 (paper-based 550); IELTS: 6.5 Band Score; PTE: 67; and ELS: 112.
