01. 全球优秀课程

领导力是西方教育最看重的品质之一。在中国，我们很多人对领导力还是一知半解，有家长会说，又不是每个人都要去从政或者当总裁，为什么要人人培养领导力呢?其实，领导力不是一种权力，而是一种关键能力。领导力，不是当领导才需要。

Leadership qualities are characteristics emphasized by the western world. Leadership is oftentimes misunderstood to encompass politics or business interests, but is actually a trait that every successful student must develop and perfect. Leadership is a critical ability that will help open doors, not only in institutions of higher learning but throughout society, in general. A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shoes the way. Accordingly, Meihua School has established a junior leadership project, including self-assessment, personal relationship, coaching skills, teamwork and managing abilities.

02. 戏剧课程

美国教育相信“艺术可以启发大脑”。美华学校每年都排演高水准的大型戏剧，涉及音乐、美术、影视、跳舞、文学、历史等相关内容，孩子们在其中要取舍表演、舞美、配乐等不同分工。他们在编导、排练不同剧目的过程中，要进行剧本创作、戏剧导演、戏剧制作和角色分析，在体验不同角色人物的性情与特点，对自身个性发展、自信心养成和激发创造力都有很大的帮助。

Educational philosophy in America teaches that “art can inspire the mind.” Meihua School features high-level theatre performances each year, including music, art, video production, literature, history, etc. Children are assigned to different roles in each performance, including choreography, music production, etc. When children direct and create a show, they are responsible for script writing, directing and characters’ analysis, which greatly encourages the development of confidence and the establishment of individuality.

03. 双优班

学校为每个学生免费提供高尔夫、击剑培训课程，并开设“双优班”，由全国排名前十的选手领衔，吸纳学术优异且拥有较好技能基础的学员，才有特别课程教学，**频繁训练、参与比赛的学员能顺利完成威睿达思课程的学习。

The school offers a variety of physical education choices to students, including golf and fencing, and has established a career-development pathway. These innovations allow students to specialize in a particular field, to maintain an excellent academic record and to be a well-rounded individual. The school provides special lessons for students to ensure quality time for both their training and school work.

04. 论文系统

美华学校在高中阶段就引入论文课程，从11年级开设论文课程，从2-3页的论文到最后十几页的论文，逐渐加强难度，鼓励同学们自由选择课题，甚至到国外调查研究完成自己的论文。

学校非常注重学生的写作能力，很多课程都是与写作有关的，这方面也配合了论文系统。对中国学生而言，数理化是我们的强项，英语是弱项，通过这个论文系统和配套的大量写作培养，从美华学校毕业升入名校的学生全部都得到非常高的认可——被认为是“完全胜任大学学习”的人才!

Meihua school introduces the thesis system in the 11th grade, which begins with short essays and culminates with a 25-page dissertation. The program, which is generally only featured in master’s degree-level courses, encourages students to choose their area of interests and to conduct research abroad to complete their thesis.

The school emphasizes and develops the student’s writing abilities, and many of the courses include advanced writing content to better prepare the student to tackle the thesis requirement. Because of this thesis system and the abundant writing assignments, students who graduate from our program have a much better chance of being accepted by a major university throughout America, Canada, Great Britain, Australia and throughout the world.
