专业概况

在这里学什么？

As a registered Psychologist, this course will prepare you to practise as an educational and developmental psychologist in a range of settings including primary and secondary schools, health and welfare services, hospitals, care facilities, clinics and private practice and within business and corporate environments.

The course has been designed to further develop you as an evidence-based practitioner and independent professional who has the theoretical, research, assessment and therapeutic skills required for the practice of educational and developmental psychology.

You will have the opportunity to apply theory to practice through 750 hours of supervised professional experience across the course. You will spend between two to three days per week on placement undertaking activities under the supervision of experienced practitioners who have an area of practice endorsement in educational and developmental psychology.

You will develop an advanced ability to think critically and analytically about the processes involved in educational and developmental psychology and the application of these to professional practice and research.

With a further two years of supervised practice in educational and developmental psychology, graduates are currently eligible for endorsement as Educational and Developmental Psychologists with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Entry level 3: Duration: 1 year full-time, 2 years part time (48 points to complete) An Australian bachelor degree, or an equivalent qualification, in a cognate discipline and a minimum of five years relevant employment. OR An Australian undergraduate honours degree, or an equivalent qualification, in a cognate discipline with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70.
