专业概况

在这里学什么？ Business Economics focuses on economic concepts, theories, and principles. Learn how these are applied to various business activities inside businesses or organisations and across the wider business world.You’ll develop a strong understanding of the role of marketing in today’s multi-channel environment and how marketing fits into a wider organisational context.In order to become an effective marketer, and be able to allocate resources and tap into growth opportunities, you need to understand all economic factors relating to target markets, particularly around emerging markets.Our course combines both pure and application-driven mathematics. By the time you finish your degree, you will be able to use maths to solve practical problems.Computers are used extensively in modern maths and we will introduce you to various mathematical software preparing you for industry.Our course will allow you to deepen your knowledge of mathematical techniques supporting industry, science, engineering, commerce, finance, and education. You will also develop your analytical skills to an advanced level.Our mathematics department is relatively small. This means we can get to know you personally, and offer a friendly and supportive learning experience. You can contact any member of staff to ask for help or attend one of our drop-in help sessions.You will also be able to join DUMaS (Dundee University Maths Society), an active society open to all students studying mathematics or mathematical biology.
