在这里学什么？ Civil engineers find creative ways to solve real-world problems, developing the physical infrastructure for society to exist: from bridges to houses, and from roads to hospitals and train stations. This course will develop your understanding of engineering principles, together with the ability to apply them to solve real-world practical problems.Our course is accredited, under license from the Engineering Council, by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM), which represents the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) and the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT). It's also accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors, recognising the quality and relevance of the course content.**Key features**- **Industry-standard facilities** | Experience hands-on learning in our modern facilities and workshops, including concrete, soils and materials laboratories and support from our team of expert technicians.- **Professional progression** | Take the first step in gaining Incorporated or Chartered status – this course is accredited as fully satisfying the educational base for an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and partially satisfying the educational base for a Chartered Engineer (CEng).*- **Placement year** | Gain vital skills and experience in the workplace by undertaking a one-year placement on our sandwich route. Previously, students have spent their placements at companies such as VolkerFitzpatrick, BAM Nuttall, Aarsleff Ground Engineering Ltd., Plowman Craven and Buckingham Group Contracting Ltd. - **Outstanding employability** | **** of our BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering sandwich students are in graduate level employment within six months of finishing their studies, earning an average salary of £24,700 (latest DLHE survey, 2016-2017). Graduates have gone on to work for companies including AECOM, Jackson Civil Engineering, J Reddington, Winvic Construction and APR Services.
