在这里学什么？ **Course Overview**- Study at one of only a few universities to offer a BA in Counselling, Coaching and Psychological Interventions using three approaches to counselling and psychotherapy.- We’re one of only a few places where you can study psychoanalytical, humanistic and cognitive behavioural approaches to counselling and psychotherapy.- You’ll gain a solid grounding and transferable skills to work in counselling and psychotherapy in nursing, social work and probation, human resources, management or mediation.- The course team includes staff who are active researchers in their field and a member of the BACP Professional Conduct Committee.**Why study with us**- All course facilitators operate within the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework.- Counselling, Psychotherapy and Occupational Therapy at the University is 3rd in the North West for assessment and feedback - National Student Survey (NSS) 2019.- All of our lecturers are active counselling or psychotherapy practitioners so you’ll be taught the latest theories and skills.**Further Information**- You’ll be able to take up a placement during Year 2 to help prepare you for the workplace. You’ll also experience some of the ways in which counselling and psychotherapy are delivered abroad, through an opportunity for international study.- Our graduates work in a variety of fields. Some go on to train as counsellors and psychotherapists with a Postgraduate Diploma/MA in Integrative Psychotherapy (BACP Accredited), some work in Mental Health as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs), and others train as registered nurses in mental health, general adult or work with children. There’s also an option to train to be a social worker, through an MA in Social Work.- The programme embraces the NHS Values of: working together for patients; respect and dignity; commitment to quality of care; compassion; improving lives and, everyone counts.- As part of the course you will have the opportunity to hear about the experiences of service users, carers, patients and public members via our community engagement and service user support groups (Comensus).
