The BS in Economics builds on an analytical business foundation and develops the student’s ability to apply economic reasoning and analysis to economic, business, and policy issues.
DEGREE OUTCOMES
- Graduates have gone on to careers with the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Federal Reserve Board, Research Triangle Institute, AIG Financial, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
- Graduates have entered law schools, MBA programs, the London School of Economics, and the PhD program at the University of Virginia, among others.
- Graduates can apply to our MA program in applied economics (among the best terminal master’s programs in applied economics in the country) and learn the statistical and econometric techniques to enter the job market on a professional career track.

Overall Requirements
- 122 credit hours, to include at least 36 credits at or above the 300 course level
- A cumulative GPA of at least 2.0
- At least 15 credits of Economics must be earned at UNC Greensboro.
- Grades of C (2.0) or better in each ECO course used to meet major requirements.
- No more than 30 credits of traditional business courses (ACC, BUS, FIN, ISM, MGT, MKT, and SCM courses taught by Bryan School faculty) will count toward the B.S. degree in Economics.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have completed a high school diploma and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required; preferred 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale. UNCG accepts the following English Language Proficiency results for direct entry: IBT TOEFL 79 minimum; IELTS 6.5 minimum; ELS 112 score report; PTE Academic 53 minimum; and Level 5 Certificate – American Language Academy (ALA).
