This degree gives you more extensive individual tuition – comparable to the level you’d receive in a conservatoire – and more chamber music, ensemble or orchestral coaching. Our music programme is one of the largest and liveliest in the UK. We focus on music as an applied art, one that engages with the musical world in all its diversity and excitement. We understand the importance of ensuring that you’ve the knowledge, skills and experience to compete successfully in today’s challenging jobs market. In addition to the work placements and sector-specific employability and enterprise modules that many of you will have embedded in your course, we’ve developed a student and graduate internship scheme. Our commitment is to make sure that students and graduates from all disciplines that register on the programme, and successfully complete the necessary preparation, have the opportunity to apply for internships.
