专业概况

在这里学什么？

This course is designed to give you high-quality profession-specific training to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat sports and physical activity-related injuries. Centered around developing competency within a vocational topic area utilising industrial standard equipment and techniques and thereby preparing you for your future career. Teaching and assessment within the course is centered on significant practice-based learning including extensive use of case studies, work-based placement with industrial experts including course graduates, internal commercial experiences as well as student learning trips. Embedded within the course are wider transferable skills to enables you to successfully enter graduate level employment across a much wider scope of opportunities following their completion of the course.

The assessment strategy utilised is founded upon the concepts of realism and employability outlined in the framework produced by the CLE. Through the course students are assessed using a variety of assessment methods to provide an inclusive opportunity for all.

After graduation of this course, you’ll be ready for a rewarding and challenging role in sports therapy and rehabilitation. You’ll be fully trained and ready to operate as an injury and exercise-based rehabilitation and fitness specialist. You’ll also be capable of working in multi-disciplinary healthcare teams.
